Days 1–2: Manila
- Arrive at NAIA (see our NAIA guide) and rest off the jet lag.
- Day 2: Intramuros, Fort Santiago, the National Museum and a food walk in Binondo. Details in the Manila guide.
Days 3–6: Palawan (El Nido or Coron)
- Fly from Manila to Palawan. El Nido has its own small airport; Puerto Princesa is the larger gateway but is a long road transfer from El Nido. See the Palawan guide.
- Spend three full days island-hopping (lagoons and beaches in El Nido, or wrecks and lakes in Coron).
- Book island tours locally or via Klook.
Days 7–9: Bohol
- Fly back via Manila or Cebu to Bohol–Panglao airport (there is generally no direct Palawan–Bohol option; confirm current routes).
- See the Chocolate Hills and tarsiers, then beach time on Panglao. Details in the Bohol guide.
Day 10: back to Manila or Cebu
- Fly to your international gateway. If you can, leave a night in Manila or Cebu before your US flight in case weather cancels an island flight.
FAQ
- Is 10 days enough for the Philippines?
Yes for a first trip that covers Manila plus two island areas. Trying to see more means spending much of the trip on flights and transfers. - What is the best 10-day route for first-timers?
A common shape is Manila, then Palawan (El Nido or Coron), then Bohol, flying between them via Manila or Cebu. See our Palawan and Bohol guides. - Should I fly into Manila or Cebu?
Manila has more US nonstops; Cebu is closer to Bohol and the Visayas. See flights to Manila. - What about typhoons?
Most typhoons hit July to November, and boats and flights are cancelled in bad weather, so keep a buffer day before your flight home. State Dept
